Neighbourhood Safety

Keeping our area safe is one of my top priorities. Too many constituents tell me they’ve witnessed shoplifting, dangerous driving of e-bikes and scooters, and other reckless behaviour in public. The government is clear that we need to build back our neighbourhood police patrols.

Thames Valley Police have moved their Reading headquarters to to a more accessible venue, Atlantic House on Imperial Way, and the government’s new funding for neighbourhood policing means that they’ve expanded their staff and are building a new anti-shoplifting team.

I am running a survey about shoplifting and other neighbourhood safety concerns, such as reckless e-scooter driving. I will be sharing the results with the police, so please fill them out and share them with others.
